What do you like best about this course?

  • She is a professor who actually knows how to use Canvas, unlike many others. Clear expectations, straightforward assignments, and a decent textbook + lectures.
  • Teaches in’s and out’s of what school is actually like.
  • Professor was extremely flexible with assignments when I was sick and is very responsive.
  • I liked the pacing of the course a lot. It was at an appropriate pace and the weekly presentation from other students allowed for real world example of what we were learning in class
  • I like that this course is very practical. Everything discussed is something that can be useful in my own classroom one day. The course moved at a steady pace, which I also liked.

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor Swati Dontamsetti encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?

  • Professor Dontamsetti was a great professor, she was always prepared for class and always had a positive attitude. She wants her students to succeed and do well in her class. She is truly considerate and understanding.
  • Helped me understand the realities of teaching and why it could be rewarding, but also how it takes a lot of emotional stamina.
  • Very positive and engaging teacher. Learned a lot about what schools are actually like.
